Products in Korea have some great (and odd) phrases or verses in English. The notebook I took travelling with me this summer had a great mantra on it, that my friends got fed up hearing as I said it out loud every time I took out the pad to write something... There are some things that have a relevance at only one point in time, and then sometimes there are things that keep being relevant ages after you first saw them. Here is the quote, write it down somewhere and take it with you, because it's definitely something we all need to remember from time to time.
'Everything might not be smooth as silk, but don't stress out too much'
Under this there is a paragraph of random, unconnected quotes which are a little strange:
'[in]Side the heart of each and every one of us there is a longing to be understood by someone who really cares. When a person is understood, he or she can put up with almost anything in the world.'
'Acting on an idea is better than just having a good idea.'
'True love is when you have to watch a friend leave, with the knowledge that you might never see him again. But you know he'll be in your mind and heart forever.'
Perhaps not exactly profound, some things that I identify with.
I love love love the words and message in this song. It is so applicable for me I kinda wish I wrote it myself... however, here are Natasha Kahn's words:
Hang on travelling woman.
Don't sacrifice your plan, cause it will come back to you, before you lose it on the man.
Never fall in love with potential. Cause you can see with your own eyes. All the pretty faces and sorry words can take away your pride.
Got to listen, to the vision. Some may say a dream. Words from the unseen
It can make you tired, tell you lies, make you fall.
Make you tired, tell you lies, make you fall.
Got to listen, to the vision. Play in the ashes of what you once were.
Hang on travelling woman.
These pictures are from the Summer Palace in Beijing: January 2009.
Loved the videos - I felt like I was walking with you! I've never heard of Natasha Kahn but hasn't she got a lovely voice?
